Yellow!! With some all natural...

Top: J.Crew | Bottoms: J.Crew |
Sandals: Steve Madden (Old, similar style here) |
Sunglasses: Valentino | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff

Happy Saturday, hope everyone is having a great day.
I thought this is the perfect weekend outfit. It is definitely casual but stylish for out and about. The neutral colors give such a relaxed feel. It doesn't get any more comfortable than these chino pants from J.Crew, which they come in several colors and I love all of them. The fit is a little boyfriend-ish, but I bought my normal size and they fit great, just loose.
Have a great rest of your weekend! xx

Daytime to Date night...

Denim jacket: AG | Dress: Free People (old, similar style here) |
Heels: Joie (old, similar style here) | Sunglasses: Celine |
Crossbody: Rebecca Minkoff | Choker: Urban Outfitters

Happy Friday!!
I hope everyone had a great week and is looking forward to the weekend, I know I sure am.
I thought it would be fun to style a look that could be easily taken from daytime to nighttime, maybe you have a hot date with your significant other or something. ;)
Adding a denim jacket over a little black dress is so easy and really transforms the outfit. If you don't have enough time to change in between plans, just taking off the jacket makes this outfit sleek and stylish. Who doesn't love an all black look? I've picked out some great options below. xx

Pant: J.Crew | Top: J.Crew | Heels: Joie (old, similar style here) |
Sunglasses: Celine | Bag: Fendi (old, similar style here) |
Watch: Movado | Lipstick: Starburst by MAC

Happy Thursday Everyone!
Wow! What a great look this is, uh-hem, if I do say so myself! ;P
I just love this work chic look. The ruffles on the button down and the cropped wide leg pant are so trendy right now. When I saw these pants in person I knew exactly how I wanted to style them! My whole shoe closet flashed quickly through my mind and these Joie lace-up heels make such the statement. I loved the contrast of the black heel with the rest of the outfit, as well as the black in the bag and sunglasses.  I think this outfit is so stylish but still totally appropriate for a work environment.  I've linked a few more pieces from J.Crew that are so great and perfect for work!

Denim Overalls...

Overalls: Madewell
Top: Nordstrom (old, similar style here) | Sneakers: Converse |
Bag: Fendi (old, similar style here) | Watch: Movado

Hey everyone, so sorry for the scarce posts lately.
The weather in Houston has been just terrible the past week (still hoping everyone is recovering ok from the flood) and then my cousin came in town for the weekend, so I've been a bit tied up! Hamilton and I were in midtown a couple weekends ago and found this great monkey wall! Houston has some really great wall art, perfect for an awesome background for a picture! I love my overalls, throw on any cute top underneath and your set. They run true to size (I'm wearing size small) and have some a decent stretch to them.
I have some great outfits coming your way... just need some better weather! xx

Some amazing products...

Derma Roller: Stacked Skincare | Moisturizer: La Mer |
Firming Milk: Dr. Dennis Gross | Vitamin C serum: Mario Badescu
I wanted to do a round up of the skin care products I have posted on Instagram lately. To start, I purchased the vitamin C serum for when I use the derma-roller. I apply the firming milk and occasionally, if necessary, the La Mer moisturizer after that. I have used this derma-roller twice now and love it. Yes, it makes your skin red and no it doesn't hurt. I haven't seen a huge difference since I haven't been using it for too long, but the next morning I wake up with reduced pore size and plump healthy looking skin. I will report back in a couple months with a better review of the derma-roller.  I have completely fallen in love with Dr. Dennis Gross's product, I use it every morning and night. The milky consistency is so different and refreshing than any other product I use. It is good for firming and tightening skin for a contoured appearance.

Hydrating mask: Sisley | Moisturizer: La Mer |
Night serum: Estee Lauder | Drying lotion: Mario Badescu |
 Exfoliating scrub: Mario Badescu
Everyone's skin is different, so it's hard to say that you guys need to buy this moisturizer or scrub.  I will say, I have semi-oily skin in the "T" zone and generally not too many break outs, besides the once a month zit that I'm sure you ladies know why that comes... These products work great for me. I use the Sisley mask when I notice my skin is dry from changing weather or looking dull. This mask makes such a difference, it brings all the life back into my skin and evens out my skin tone. I use the drying lotion for my once a month zits and it seriously zaps them overnight. The Mario Badescu exfoliating scrub is a definite fav of mine. I use it about every other night, which probably isn't the best thing to do according to a dermatologist but I'm a little OCD about having clear skin.

Hand lotion: Nordstrom
Mother's day is coming up and Nordstrom has these adorable gift sets of hand lotion, this one came with three, there is also one with six and then twelve. I'm one of those weird people that doesn't love having lotion on my hands because I don't like the feeling of my hands being greasy. This lotion is the first lotion I've tried that doesn't make me feel like I need to immediately go wash my hands. It soaks in and makes them silky smooth! And did I mention the amazing scents? Love it.

Vintage Floral...

Top: Elizabeth and James | Jeans: Joe's Jeans (sold out, similar style here) |
Booties: Stuart Weitzman |
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff | Sunglasses: Valentino

Happy Monday Everyone!
What a crazy storm we had here in Houston last night, hope everyone is safe.
It's the beginning of a new week and I want to start out running...
I LOVE this outfit. This Elizabeth and James blouse is stunning (true to size | I'm wearing small)!
It has the most luxurious feel with its silk liner and the thin overlay with the most gorgeous vintage pattern. The cold shoulder cut-outs take this blouse to the next level of chic.
It is a bit high of a price but it's gorgeous style and fit make it worth every penny!
I don't think I can say any more amazing things about these Stuart Weitzman booties. They feel so amazing when you slide your foot in; they are heels but still so comfortable.  I also know they now come in black suede which would be so great for fall and winter as well!
Hope the weather gets better. xx

Hermann Park...

Top: J.Crew (on sale!) | Jeans: Banana Republic (on sale!) |
Espadrilles: Bettye Muller (old, similar style here) |
Crossbody: Rebecca Minkoff (on sale!) | Sunglasses: Valentino

Happy Friday Everyone!!
Yesterday Hamilton and I roamed around Hermann Park in Houston, I’ve been there several times but never really took the time to soak it all in. I guess when you’ve lived in a city for so long you tend to look past all the great touristy spots. We found several fun animals while roaming and I thought they were good shots, I personally have never seen a beaver before in my life, he was so cute!!

J.Crew has been having some amazing sales lately that I have, for sure, been taking advantage of. This pink striped top (that I also got in blue stripes, size medium for an oversized fit) is super comfortable and chic. I love how the sleeves are the slightest bit longer than normal; I rolled them for a fun detail.
I’m obsessed with these jeans from Banana Republic, which are on sale!! The cut off bottoms are my favorite right now, so cute for spring. The jeans are mid-rise, and fit perfectly; my mom also bought a pair and they look amazing on her too!
Hope everyone has some fun plans for the weekend! xx

Flirty in Orange...

Dress: Trina Turk | Sandals: Joie (old, similar style here and here) |
Crossbody: Louis Vuitton (similar style here and here) |
Sunglasses: Valentino

Today's post is talking about the perfect spring/summer dress.
Considering it already feels like summer here in Houston, I am taking advantage and wearing this gorgeous little number. The lace detailing is so feminine and sweet and the bright tangerine color just pops, both details making this dress perfect for day or night. Oh and lets not forget the fitted bodice and full skirt that is super flattering, it looks great on any body type.  I chose to style this dress down and wear it with my favorite gold gladiator sandals and cross body Louis...this fits my style a bit more than wearing it dressy. This look could easily be made into evening wear with some strappy heels, a clutch handbag and off to a hot date you go! xx
P.S. I recently changed my username on Instagram to TheSilkDiaries instead of RachAnneBeck, just so everyone knows.
